(1) Replace valve by a solid H.P. Valve and valve spring by a solid distance piece. Apply an oil pressure of 2500 lbs/sq.in. to H.P. and L.P. chambers of the damper. This can be done with a complete damper by removing the plug H.P. chamber. During this test the damper filler plug should be removed, so that the same pressure does not build up in the oil reservoir part of the damper. Examine for oil leaks. (2) Minimum ball pin load set at 30 lbs. (3) With 30 lbs/sq.in. behind the bellows the ball pin load should be :- Front 400 lbs. Rear. 290 lbs. Examine for oil leaks.
