X.3730 Re Second Goshawk II. At an informal Conference, LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}, Sp.{Mr Spinney} and I had with Mr.Royce last week, R.{Sir Henry Royce} suggested that the limousine we have built at Hoopers should be fitted to the above chassis. Will you please let me know when you could send it up for the purpose. We propose upholstering it in cheaper material if possible, but maintaining the comfort, and it can then be sent back to you for experiment. We are also arranging for a good open touring body to be made for the third chassis for Mr. Royce, and an all-weather cabriolet for the fourth for use in London. We also propose sending you the new open body Mulliners have built, unless you send the chassis for them to fit. Mulliners are also building a new type of open body which can be totally closed. We want you to have this when ready to test it out. We think it will be very saleable. PTO | ||
