The "caneing" of door panels you mention, was originally fixed by hand, by glueing each separate piece of cane to the body panels.

As you can well imagine this work required a great amount of skill, and we doubt very much whether there are any firms in existence who would still undertake to do this. The alternative, however, is to fit self adhesive material, and we would suggest that you contact either of the following, who are specialists in plastic body coverings and wickerwork:-

We do not have a replacement temperature gauge available, but if you write to Smiths Industries Limited, Motor Accessory Division, Cricklewood Works, London N.W.2. we feel they may be able to assist with overhaul of the original unit.

As regards the inoperation of the radiator shutters, we feel this will most probably be due to malfunction of the colorstat situated in the header tank of the radiator. The enclosed notes should be of some assistance when replacing this.

Concerning headlamp bulbs, there were two types for the W.100 headlamps fitted to "Wraith" cars, and should the bulbs in the headlamps of your car have a single contact in their base, then Lucas 171.SBC bulbs will be required. On the other hand, if the bulbs are of the "flanged" or "Bosch" type fitting, then Lucas 182 bulbs will be required. Alternatively, the headlamps of your car may be converted to "double dipping" by carrying out the alterations listed on the enclosed sheets.

Regarding the X 87 radio valve, this is a frequency changer for the Radiomobile 100 set, and replacements are apparently very difficult to obtain. However, we would suggest that the following firm may be able to supply a replacement or suitable alternative:-
