BENSPORT WITH J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 1. ENGINE - REVISED LAYOUT.

We have put the J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 1. engine into the Bensport frame, and send herewith R.ech.3579., shewing the position of the engine in the frame, etc.

It will be noticed that we have raised the frame approximately .425". This is for the double purpose of increasing the clearance between the cross steering tube on the damper flywheel casing, and of increasing the ground clearance from approximately 6.5" to 6.9". This is done by using a Peregrine front axle, and modifying the thickness of the front springs. It is therefore unnecessary to proceed with the special Bensport front axle forging originally proposed.
