+560 S/W.......Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} C16/C29.5.35 Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} suggested that we should swop cars one week-end. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has now telephoned to say that he wants my car to examine the carburettor thoroughly and see if they can get at the bottom of the flooding which took place, and he proposes sending for it on Thursday or Friday. I do not know whether we can combine the two on this occasion, or whether it would be better to do our swopping of cars one week-end when the Experimental Dept. do not want my car. Please let me know what arrangements you want to make. At the moment I am particularly concerned with Major Monro. He is going to let us have his car on Saturday until the following Thursday, as he will be away, so that the Experimental Dept. could have this carburettor also to examine. Of course Mr. Monro's car has been a very persistent flooder whereas mine has only done this once as far as I know in 10,000 miles. In any case we want to do something for Major Monro before he returns from the Continent. C. | ||
