[Handwritten] DESIGNS COMPLETE ORIGINAL R URGES CONSTRUCTION HINTS AT POSSIBLE NEED TO CHANGE TO MECHANICAL SERVO. 6 CHASSIS FWB, PROTECTED, HERON COMP. AIR SYSTEM [Typed] To Ed.{J. L. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell} I believe we have now completed the designs for the front wheel brakes and I think it will be advisable for us to distribute a letter to the heads of departments urging them to make every effort to get the materials, drawings, and the work through for the experimental parts quickly. It is thought that we might get frames, axles, and alterations to the exhaust system &c. so that we could fit up 6 chassis. It is possible that we may have some modifications to make, and even should we abandon the compressed air system, and go to the mechanical Servo system, about 70% of the parts will be required.
