EXPERIMENTAL REPORTS.

There are some experiments of which we have not heard much recently, and of which we should like to know the state:-

OBJECT.
(1) Eliminate brake squeaks.
EXPERIMENT.
The locomotive type brake shoe on the front brakes.

(2) Easy change gear and silent 3rd.
EXPERIMENT.
The helical 3rd. speed in which you were going to fit Maybach type jaws. Are you waiting for us?

(3) To steady radiator.

(4) Improvement of steering column controls.
EXPERIMENT.
Controls on steering column reduced in height with the switch at the bottom.

(5) Central lubrication.
EXPERIMENT.
Pipe coil connections to the front and back axles for 25HP.

OBJECT.
(6) Silencing epicyclic gears.
Difficulties
EXPERIMENT.
The specimen epicyclic gears made for the purpose of testing their silence and general running, and taken from the drawings of gear trains of P. 2. or 25HP. which you have - i.e. the annulus driver .74 reduction and one of the accelerated drives.

(7) Lighter clutch to facilitate changing.
