X5380 Secret. [Illegible signatures] c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BYL/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 7. 3. 25. AUTHORISATION SHEET NO.2. TO INTRODUCE A NECESSARY CHANGE INTO "INDIA" AT ONCE. In checking up to make sure that the parts we are fitting which may have to be later replaced, will not seriously affect the strength of the frame when replaced, I find an instance where it will be necessary for us to adopt the final design at once. The point in question is the anchorage of the front end of the under-truss or tie bar for the frame side member. It will be necessary to fit this in its final position initially, otherwise the frame would be nearly cut in half when the bracket anchoring the tie bar was moved. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} agree it is necessary. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} adds it will cause no delay. Would you kindly let us have your consent to incorporate the modification? BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
