b) Also find the effect of special distance pieces and long studs on the hubs to separate the wheels and drums by say another ¾". From previous experience, this should make a difference of 25% approximately.

c) Cooling curves of the aluminium drums when these are made.

4. MECHANICAL PETROL PUMP.

It has been impossible to get an A.C. pump working on 9.B.V, due to the overlapping of other tests, but all the parts are ready for fitting up 3.B.50, and the pump could be watched while other tests were in progress.

In conclusion, we can visualise the above tests lasting for 6 or possibly 8 weeks, interspersed as they will be with the usual servicing jobs.
