I have pleasure in returning herewith the clock which you kindly loaned to me some months ago.

I also have pleasure in returning herewith the report in connection with Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car which you handed to me yesterday, as I received the original copy by the 3 o'clock post, which it is observed was posted on the 30th ultimo.
