BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} } FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X7941 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M28.3.30. 24-EX. - 10,000 MILE CAR. -------------------- With reference to the report (HSL/MJ25830.) on the 10,000 Mile car - 24-EX. (1) What radiator mounting was used. The correct one - N. sch. 3110. - is open at the bottom of the spring pot and cannot fill with water. (2) We are not certain exactly what was fitted for the central lubrication of the front axle pivot. On N. sch. 3050. it was intimated that probably some adjustment would be needed as to fit between the standpipe and the pivot. We hope this is being attended to. In the meanwhile we should like a drawing of the axle as it finally went away. Are we to understand that the filter on N. scheme 3050. is not adequate to keep the pivot drip plug clear? (3) We will send you a scheme in a short while for applying central lubrication to the accelerator pedal. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
