To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} x7420 DAL/M9.2.26. X.1698 X.5430 X.7420 PROPOSED VISIT TO DERBY. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has not yet returned, and though we believe he is somewhere around, we cannot say when we may actually see him. Under the circumstances I have not done anything further about coming to Derby. Do you consider that the India steering situation is such that I could wait until I see E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}, or would you wish me to come up in any case this week? Perhaps if you would like me to come you would wire me on receipt of this memo. Though I am quite anxious to come, at the same time I should very much like to have got R's recent instructions on the EAC.7. brakes a little further forward before being absent for some days.
