the fan blades. A third way is to make them run flatter by twisting them, so as to have less angle of incidence. I should feel inclined, however, to run the cars without the fan blade belt, but as there may be risk of water boiling under certain circumstances, this ought to be recommended only after trial.

Another way would be to put something over part of the radiator, so as to prevent the air passing through, say, the lower half.

I have not yet heard from Mr. Hives as to whether there is any good in the idea of using a thin oil instead of water in the radiator, so as to avoid any trouble with freezing.
