X.3741 - SYRINGE TYPE HYDROMETER

We return herewith the Glass Syringe type Hydrometer which you obtained for us as a sample from the Chloride Electrical Storage Company. We do not consider such an instrument would be suitable for supplying with the chassis, but we do consider that one of the celluloid type would be suitable, and Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} thinks that we should continue with our efforts to obtain hydrometers of the celluloid type for delivery, one with each chassis.

We know we can obtain these from the Luthy Hydrometer Co., in America, but if you think there is any possibility of obtaining these in England we would like you to make further enquiries.

EFC.

You might point out to the Chloride Company that the hydrometer tube itself of the sample instrument now returned to you is faulty and allows the liquid to leak in to the inside of the little floating tube.
