As there is never any hesitation as regards criticising our chassis, we have one very definite criticism as regards our coachbuilding. We are absolutely certain that the scientific scheme of ventilation which has been adopted on U.S.A. cars, and which we demonstrated to Sales on the Buick, is an improvement which we cannot afford to neglect. In our opinion our efforts at ventilation are feeble in comparison. We shall certainly resist having any more bodies built for experimental cars which do not incorporate this scheme of ventilation. For the owner who rides in the back of the car we think it is a most essential improvement. We do not agree with the idea that it spoils the look of the car. If the scheme is sound and it gives the result it will not be long before any car without it will look out of date. The schemes that we have heard are being tried we have no confidence in at all. The U.S.A. method is not arrived at by guess-work, and I do not see how we can hope to be successful by that method. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
