SS.{S. Smith} VALVE SPRINGS.
[HANDWRITTEN: X7060]
[HANDWRITTEN, CROSSED OUT: X290]

We send you herewith blueprint of
LeC. 2697. shewing the present SS.{S. Smith} parallel spring
E.78071. made taper.

The average periodicity and figures
of merit are as before.

There is a difference of nearly
2000 vibrations per minute between the natural frequen-
cies of the top and bottom ends of the spring.

LeC. 2697. should be tested against
E.78071. on the spring test rig.

The original drawing is attached to
BY's copy.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
