Both the bush and the washer at the rear end of the new stay have worn badly already, allowing considerable up and down movement on the stud. The distance covered with this part to date is 2.000 miles. We do not like the locking plate for the gearbox plug attached to the stay, as the whole assembly can act as a spanner, but we have done the plug up very tight and have no fear of it loosening for this reason. ------------ Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W.
