For the attention of Mr. G.A.Vandervell. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letters of the 6th. and 7th. February, and since our last communication have been in touch with your Mr. Johnson. During his visit we asked him to order the new three layer bearings to the layout L.1076. Since that time, however, Mr. Robotham has requested that we should order two sets in accordance with the layout L.1076 (2.5 dia.) and three sets in accordance with the layout L.1118 (2.75 dia.), and will notify that the official order be sent you. We also discussed with Mr. Johnson the contents of our letter of the 2nd., that is in regard to the trial of 2.75 dia. journals on our alum engine. Certain alterations to our request letter were decided upon and Mr. Johnson now has the whole story. Enclosed are the layouts L.1076 and L.1108 which we are returning at your request.
