Contd. -10- EFC2/T6.10.19. (j) JUNCTION BOX. AS the Lucas switchbox does not provide the number of connections that are required for various purposes, there is provided in addition a Lucas junction box low down on the front right hand side of the dash. When all connections are made, this junction box provides a number of spares which will allow of additional auxiliary apparatus being connected if desired, though this of course, is not recommended, the junction box is provided with two fuses, positive and negative, through which the two positive and negative bus bars are respectively connected to the positive and negative main terminals of the junction box, spare fuses are carried in a small container clipped to the inside of the cover of this box. there is also an auxiliary insulated terminal at the lower end of this junction box. (k) STEERING COLUMN SWITCH. At the lower end of the steering column there is a compound ignition switch which really consists of two independent switches which are operated at the same time from the centre of the steering wheel. One of these switches is an earthing switch for the low tension terminal of the magneto, the other switch is an insulated switch for the battery ignition. There are four positions of this compound switch. in the "O" position of this switch, the magneto is earthed and the connection between the two insulated terminals corresponding to the upper portions of the switch is un-made.
