E.1801. 10328. F.H. Royce Esq., La{L. A. Archer} Villa Mimosa, Par le Lavandou, Var, FRANCE. 10th March, 1928. Dear Sir, Re Chilean Dynamos ----------------- We beg to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of you telegram reading as under:- "Chilean dynamos, ball bearings appear difficult erection and repairs prefer plain bearings for dynamos unless lubrication difficult at sea. Send detail rocker and brush holder. Writing." In this case we had no option (being bound by our clients) but to supply bearings of the ball or roller type. To attempt to force an alteration at this stage would mean altering the whole lay out of the lighting set, including engine, as the engine makers are working to the present over-all dimensions. We are also bound by the terms of the specification to supply brush holders of the type described and illustrated in the enclosed Brochure. We regret we cannot enclose a drawing of the brush rocker, but we will forward this by an early post on Monday. Tuesday | ||
