-2- Delivery. With the tap in the relief pipe "closed" control the pressure in the delivery pipe by means of the tap in this pipe to 25 lbs per square inch, and with the oil temperature at 75°C check the rate of flow at several speeds, say 500, 1000 and 2000 R.P.M. The flow at these speeds should be equal to or in excess of those shown on the attached curve Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}343. Observe gear noise under the above conditions when checking the flow. Relief Valve. Running at any speed with the tap in the relief valve pipe "open", control the tap in the delivery line until the relief valve opens and oil comes through relief valve pipe, noting the pressure, which should be 17 to 20 lbs per square inch.
