Gentlemen,

We have now had an opportunity of looking carefully into the question of forwarding to you our quotation for 200 sets of hubs and hub caps to your prints GB.519, GB.520, GB.521, GB.522 & hub caps GB.1130, and would advise that these hubs are larger than those we are now making, and in many instances call for closer tolerances.

The matter therefore requires very careful consideration on our part, particularly as we assume that tolerances whether they appear to us to be of importance or not, must be adhered to. With regard to the external splines, we are producing these on Fellows Gear Shapers, which give a close approximation to the form of the serration called for on your drawing, but is not quite correct.
We shall therefore be glad to hear:-

1. Whether you would accept hubs with the splines formed on the Fellows Gear Shaper.

2. Whether stamping dies are in existence, and you could supply the stampings

3. Can you supply gauges?

4. Can you supply a sample of the finished hub & cap as you require them?
