up to this speed is almost entirely a matter of carburation, the carburation on the car tested was not superlatively good. We have xxx included a curve 2, which we should expect to obtain with a Phantom whose weight was the same as that of a Silver Ghost. This, when compared with curve R.{Sir Henry Royce}, demonstrates the gain in performance which will accrue from the increased M.E.P., other things being equal. At the higher speeds the performance of the Phantom is very much better than that of the Silver Ghost because weight ceases to be the predominant factor and windage is of vital importance!

The bodies of the cars were not very different, though that of the Silver Ghost had undoubtedly the smaller projected area, in addition, the hood of this car was not raised.
