To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} X5010. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}5/MJ.13.1.31. 12-G4. LOW INERTIA CRANKSHAFT DAMPER. We understand that the friction load of this damper when checked up had fallen to 3 lbs. Will you please re-set it with a load of three [struck-through, with '12' written above] to ten pounds. We presume that the load fell due to the cotton duck washers becoming ironed out in use but should like to be reassured that none of the springs have taken a permanent set.
