We have now tested out the above system and report as follows :- Maximum tyre ground clearance - Front .625" Rear 1.500" The front clearance is insufficient by .375". This can be overcome by lowering the jacks in the brackets. Mins. Secs. Time taken to fully jack car, using .250" copperpiping of .172" bore, and Lockheed flexes of .125" bore - 2 42 Time taken to fully release jacks, using pipe lines as above - 2 16 Lockheed flexes of larger bore were then fitted, resulting as follows :- Time taken to fully jack car, using .250" copper piping of .172" bore and Lockheed flexes .2187" bore - 2 38 Time to fully release jacks, using pipe lines as above - 1 57 Engine R.P.M. approx. 450 in each case. | ||
