We are surprised to hear that 35-EX. has been run on Castrol XL. as it was Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s intention for this chassis to be run on MOT.C. although we cannot find any definite instructions to this effect.

When preparing this car for France it was definitely run here on MOT.C. as shown in the oil log book and the Garage say that you were aware of this fact. A notice was placed on the filler cap and the windscreen to the effect that the engine was on MOT.C. Although as you say Price's MOT.C. is not available in France, surely some could have been taken or sent out.?
We have here a letter from Price's enquiring how the special test of the Phantom III. in France is progressing as running on MOT.C. and are awaiting with interest the result of the test.
