Perhaps the most practical method of test charging a battery with such a charging characteristic is to insert in series with the battery an invariable external resistance of .25 ohm wit and charge the battery through this resistance with a sustained voltage of 17.0. We propose to do this as an experiment and observe whether the capacity of a battery is to any extent reduced as compared with charging at definitely constant current. EFC. {E.
