16153 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.6/MA. 16th April, 1935. Messrs.Philco Radio &Television Co.Ltd., Aintree Road, Perivale, Greenford, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr.A.F.Knight. Dear Sir, We obtained from you last August a Model 11 T No.121 car radio receiving set which we subsequently installed in Mr.Wormald, our Works Director's Car. This set has given every satisfaction until a week ago when it developed an objectionable hum which appears to emanate from the vibrator unit. We are returning this set to you under separate cover in order that you can adjust the same as Mr.Wormald is very anxious to get the best results from car radio and insists on the set being absolutely quiet particularly when tuned. In order not to delay matters we wondered whether you could send us immediately a replacement set incorporating all the latest improvements including speaker tone control. Awaiting your reply, we remain, Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
