25/30 HP. Production.

Report on Stromberg Complaints.

The first half dozen carburettors failed on part throttle acceleration. One failed due to low level and was O.K. when corrected.

The fault was due to poor delivery from the accelerator pump section.

It was found that the piston clearance should not be more than .001" i.e., piston dia., should not be less than .623" and the cylinder bore at .625" dia.

If this clearance is adhered to, the performance will not be affected by any slight variation in spring strength on the ball valve restriction.

This complaint was taken up with Stromberg's representative, Mr. Fisher, and the necessary limits tightened up.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Ratcliffe.
