TESTING SPRINGS IN
FRANCE.

With reference to Hsl/LG30.9.24, as every hour is of importance to get the final 10,000 miles test completed, as this is holding up our deliveries and costing a very considerable amount of money every day owing to these delays, please arrange for 48-PK to be approved by By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} pending Mr. Royce's recovery, so that the matter can be dealt with just as though Mr. Royce had approved.

After Mr. Royce's recovery, when he is well enough to give this matter his attention, please arrange for him if possible to inspect a car under similar conditions. Then if he approves of the car some of the test will have been already completed. If he disapproves of the car and requires more alterations, no harm will have been done, although it may be necessary for the test to start again.

The main point is for us to get the 10,000 mile test started as early as possible.
