SECRET R.A.C. & INDIA RE SUBFRAME BODIES This is to confirm our conversation on the phone this morning. (1) India. Cab. de Ville We fear that this body will not go on the chassis with the shortened "P" type steering as the wheel will foul the screen. We had not expected this feature, and do not know whether we dare let the coachbuilder see it. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will look into the matter and see how the body can be altered. We understand that we may expect the chassis by the weekend or soon after. (2) 7 EX. We understand that we may get this chassis in about a week's time. (3) FURTHER SUBFRAME BODY FOR INDIA. If you will send the subframe landaulet GF.68. together with a new type subframe they will bring this up to date. Please inform us when you can do this. Since we spoke to you on the phone we learn that if it is necessary to fit a sloping screen to the cab. de ville, the alteration is extensive and EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will go to Barkers tonight with a view to investigating exactly what can reasonably be done to the body and will probably ring you up or wire you tomorrow.
