Re Axle Pivot Fractures.

Mr Johnson
4-4-13

In reply to your memo 3/4/13, we wish to state that we have instructed Mr Wallis, have sent him blue prints, and Mr Wormald has had a personal interview with him impressing upon him the urgency and seriousness of this replacement. Six sets of pivots were sent to Mr Wallis before Easter.

Mr Parsons has not been written to but he is now on his way to us and we shall explain the situation to him personally here.

We are writing as you suggest to Messrs Wallis and Fleck asking them to make a list of the cars being used in France.

The number of cars which have been fitted with the type of stub axle that we are now superseding is just under 1100 cars.
