Dynamo 1337 from 9 G III
This machine has been removed from the car for the disposal of the latter. It was fitted in January 1928.
The dynamo was set to "maximum permissible" output for use in conjunction with an auto-switch in the first place and latterly a green-lamp indicator on the car. It has covered nearly 10000 miles and the output though it has dropped a little is still well on the high side, the amperes on production test being 11.8.
The brushes have kept consistently good throughout the run (Z grade) and are still working freely in the holders. There is very little dust under the end-cover, the insulation on 200v AC being O.K.
