SALES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE. 19th April 1937. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} West, Esq., Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr. West, I enclose herewith impression of a letter which I have to-day sent Mr. Davis, and in reply to your enquiry would explain that the new Electric Clock design functions entirely satisfactorily in the event of the voltage of the battery dropping to eight volts during the starting of the engine. I am sorry that production is not sufficiently forward to indicate a definite cost figure, but I do know that all concerned have instructions that the cost must not exceed the present design and we are aiming at a lower figure than that obtaining for the "Empire" Clock. Yours very truly, Charles Winchols Enclo. | ||
