How to use the “BRISTOL” Windscreen Cleaner. KEEP SCREEN CLEAN. FREE FROM GREASE THE SCREEN NATURALLY CLEARS ITSELF. IMPORTANT PERFECT RESULTS SAFETY FIRST. THE average motorist entirely fails to realise how “greasy” the glass Wind Screen usually is. It is not appreciated that the duster used to “clean” the glass screen was probably only previously used to clean some other part of the car which, admittedly, was “a little oily”!!! An oily cloth would not be used to clean one’s spectacles! Therefore make quite sure the cloth is thoroughly free from grease when cleaning the glass screen. The most important factor on using the Cleaner for the first time is to be entirely convinced the Glass Screen is absolutely FREE FROM GREASE. When the Screen is thoroughly wet with the rain—move the Cleaner a few times slowly over the Screen—three or four times will be sufficient—THEN WAIT, and a perfectly CLEAR SPACE WILL NATURALLY DEVELOP, and remain whilst the rain continues, making it UNNECESSARY TO FURTHER USE THE CLEANER. Do not touch the Cleaner again, but WAIT A FEW MOMENTS, when gradually a clear space will develop, ensuring good vision. This is important and needs emphasis. DO NOT CONTINUALLY MOVE THE CLEANER. In very fine rain—of “Scotch mist” character, the time taken for clearing will be found to be a little longer, but perfect results will always be obtained if these instructions are followed. Note—Slide, slowly and evenly, for the successful result. It is better to drive “Dead Slow” for a minute or so, whilst the clear space is developing, rather than run the risk of a possible accident. Many thousands of the “BRISTOL” Patent Screen Cleaners are now in use; various users continually reporting to us one or two hours’ running with a perfectly clear screen before further attention is necessary. Bristol Screen Cleaner Model “B” should be used for Wind Screens having screen adjusting wing nuts located on the top frame.
