Modification to Adjusting Pins. Senior Range Gearbox. Purpose of scheme: To provide a cure for the oil leaks from the adjusting pins, particularly the pin on the side of the gearbox, from which oil spreads to the servo. Description: The scheme shows four alternative proposals, drawn with some intention that the one which was found easiest to produce and fit to existing gearboxes should be tried first. They all aim at improving the support for the pin to prevent it rocking under the loads of gear changing and in addition, one provides a rubber seal to maintain oil tightness even if the pin rocks.
