Derby ...............By. c. to ...............Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to ...............D/BP Levallois Sr/VA8/GM.29.10.37 [Handwritten] 1245 file WAD re: New A.C.2 main bearings etc.. for 4 1/4 litre Bentley chassis. --------------------------------------- Sr. has asked me to write to you and request that you kindly arrange to have the following parts sent to us : 1 4 Sets of A.C.2 main bearings complete with liners. If 4 sets cannot be spared, then we suggest that two sets are sent as soon as possible with 2 to follow. 2 I long type , 10" clutch plate with Thermoid facings for Sr's Trial car chassis B.35.KU. 3 I set of latest type metallic facings suitable for 20/25 HP. clutches (Sr. says they have the colour of lead bronze). 4 I Ditto for 3 1/2 litre Bentley. 5 I Compound cushioned (9 springs) clutch plate for Ph. III. Chassis. The A.C. 2 bearings should be suitable for crankshafts on which the main journals are of standard dimensions, they should also be suitable for use with our Martel reamer. We attach to D/BP's copy of this memo our Official Order No. 1829 for the above parts.
