25/30 H.P. Complaints contd:

Seizure of rear brake shafts

In view of the lack of experience of the
modified lubrication system, this scheme has been dropped.

Steering

Depots report that steerings have improved
since the improvements in the manufacture of the rollers
have been introduced, but that there are still isolated
cases which give trouble.

BENTLEY COMPLAINTS.

Bearings

Sr. has fitted A.C. 2 Main Bearings to two cars,
but so far has not run any mileage on them; he hopes to
have information shortly.

The question of establishing a standard oil flow
test for main bearings was discussed, and it was agreed
that there were many difficulties to overcome before
such a test could be made reliable.

There was a prolonged discussion on the question
of modifications to be applied to customers cars, and it
was finally decided that a Sub Committee should meet
and draw up recommendations.

Knocks in rear wheel driving-box

It was pointed out that fitting the improved
type of hardened driver will entail an extra cost of £6.
Depots would prefer to fit oversize drivers, particularly
in view of the incomplete experience of the new type.

It was agreed that this procedure should be
adopted.
