-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}20/KW.30.5.35. (6) Air silencer as on 18-G-IV, but this to be fitted as a permanent job, securely supported, etc. We should like you to make a sketch of what you propose to do with this. As it is a part of the conversion which is visible, we want the best possible set-up. (7) A set of controls to suit the carburetter on the exhaust side of the engine. Here again, we want these to be as good a job as we can make them. A shaft through the centre of the block seems feasible. (8) The petrol pump mounted on rubber, fitted on the column, as on 18-G-IV. Again we should like this to be fitted up in a way that cannot be criticised from the appearance point of view. Will you please put two sets of these parts in hand, as far as possible. We are proposing to let you have either 18-G-IV or 20-G-IV when the bits are ready, so that we can have a complete rehearsal. Having made sure that all the pieces are satisfactory, we shall get hold of Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s car. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
