In response to your telephone call of the 2nd. inst, we are sending you under separate cover a latest type Bosch ignition coil, a Delco-Remy coil opened up for examination, a rough sketch shewing the construction of the De Jon coil, blue prints of the D.R. coil. These American coils are all impregnated with a Bitumenuos compound after assembly making subsequent examination of their construction very difficult. We are attaching particulars of the construction of both De Jon and Delco-Remy coils that we have unwound recently, also a scheme of windings we have made up ourselves for an R.R. coil without ballast resistance.
