PRICES OF MARINE ENGINE UNITS.
-------------------------

With reference to Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AA. {D. Abbot Anderson} 8/P.15.4.40, I think your figures of £475 and £375 for the 8 and 6 cylinders respectively are quite reasonable.

Eventually we may have to try and compete with American prices for H.P. and I think that there is little doubt that we should be able to do this, but when you are discussing the R.R. engines with various boat builders, try this price that we have tentatively agreed on and see what their reactions are.
