FUTURE PEREGRINE CARS. We have one Peregrine to re build i.e. 1 Per.2 and three more to produce. Taking the Peregrine now running in France as a model, we give a list of modification from its specification RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}2/AP.7.11.32 required in building these four cars. Where no mention is made of an item it will be as on 2. Per.2. Engine Units. Bottom Half LeC.3291 Turbulent Heads, 6.25 C/R.{Sir Henry Royce} LeC.3222 Large inlet valves 1.2" dia. Camshafts. to E.100863 1070 Pistons. Flexible type to E.100525 Crankshaft Dampers. Dry friction type to LeC.3259 Fan pulley on the flywheel. Crankshafts large journal 2.125 strone as on No.3 Flywheel & Clutch Standard type as on No.3 unit. Carburetters. The big parts can proceed but we shall issue a more complete specification in a week. Propeller Shaft. Shortened type as on 2 Per.2 but 2.250" dia. Front Engine Mounting. To LeC.3285. Radiators. Two "Harrison" type radiators are in the stores and should be used on the next two cars. A further one "Marston" radiator to LOP.E.100400 can be ordered. Plain and not "Anti-Spill" radiator caps should be fitted. Front axle. The brake actuating shafts in the front axle will be stiffened up. Details should be issued in a few days. The pivot lean should be 4 1/2° + 1/2° back. | ||
