Extract from Mr. Hives's report on a 10,000-mile engine bench test, detailing the performance of Bosch and Lodge spark plugs.

10,000 mile Engine Bench Test.

This test is now completed, it has run for :-

95 hours at 2500 revs. equal to 7125 miles.
56 " " 2250 " " " 3696 "
Total : 151 hours = 10821 miles.

Plugs.

We ran the first 5000 miles on Bosch without trouble,
the second 5000 we used Lodge, these did not give any trouble
during the run but at the finish we found two of the insulators
broken inside the plug.
