Wakefield's have published a price list of their motor oils which are recommended for different makes of cars. They make two references to the oils which are specially recommended for the 20-h.p. model Rolls-Royce cars.

I spoke to Mr. Fisher of the Wakefield Company on the 'phone, who mentioned that he and his son had visited Derby from time to time as arrangements had been made to supply Wakefield oils, and they were told that it would be tested on the 20-h.p. Rolls-Royce. Therefore they thought there was no reason why they should not mention the 20-h.p. in their price list.

Mr. Fisher mentioned that both Mr. Hives and Mr. Royce had discussed the 20-h.p. with them and had made no suggestion that the information was confidential.

As a result of my conversation with Mr. Fisher I have issued a memorandum to W. and S. as attached. I have explained to Mr. Fisher what an extremely serious matter it is for this information concerning a 20-h.p. Rolls-Royce to have been circulated broadcast. He quite appreciates the position and will do everything he can to stop further misunderstanding by circulating all his depots in accordance with the memorandum attached.
