We may find it advisable to fit some form of special lubricator in which pure paraffin-vaseline can be used. There is an interesting substance called 'liquid paraffin' sold at the chemists, and used on the hair, or internally, which I should be pleased if HL. or someone could tell me of its source and properties, that is, is it quite free from acid, does it oxydise, does it remain liquid at low temperatures, and at what are its lubricating properties.
