S/W SWDL.{Len H. Swindell} } Please let me know if DODD. } parts are ready Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, 664 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re WXA-1. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E13439 I noticed when using the car at Easter that the engine showed distinct signs of pinking under quite normal conditions of use. I did not say anything to Kennett about it but he had occasion to run out into the country yesterday and this morning told me that he had noticed the same thing. This definitely was not noticeable when I first had the car back after the alterations had been made to the engine. The car will be coming to you on Monday next for the engine changeover and I should be glad if you would have it investigated specially and let me have a report because, if this is something that we have got to expect with the mods. to increase performance, then I am afraid that it modifies one's views as to their desirability.
