X4545 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} OCT 24 1922 RECEIVED To P.N. from B.J. Copy to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BJ15/H23.10.22. 20 H.P. Demonstration Car. Thank you for your PN {Mr Northey} 27/DN20.10.22, and with reference to PN {Mr Northey} 17/DN6.10.22, I gather that the car was really delivered to us from the Works in an unsatisfactory condition. Have you been able to ascertain how it came about that such an important car was sent to us in an unfit state for demonstration, just at the critical time when it was so important that this car should give a good impression? There seems no doubt that our failure on Netherhall Gardens has been talked of amongst motorists and has done us harm. It is probable this matter will be discussed at the Derby Conference on Wednesday. Please have all possible information ready as to the failure. B.J. | ||
