We have made up a sample Phantom III Starter Motor with a modified field winding, which gives an improved performance. Also we are able to delete three terminal connectors and show a saving of 2 hours 15 minutes on the assembly time, which is achieved by winding the teazer coil inside the main coil. The complete motor was passed to the Electrical Laboratory, and a favourable report has been issued by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ec.8/NH.9.9.37. We feel that advantage of the improved performance and the subsequent saving could be effected at an early date. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Smedley. | ||
