HPS. {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} has made for us one hundred 2 oz. weights like those on the Buick. Each wheel on every experimental car should have two of these weights. They provide for a maximum unbalance of 32 oz. inches if placed side by side. Any new tyre needing more than this amount should be rejected. To correct smaller amounts of unbalance the balance weights should be separated an appropriate amount (see sketch).
