I hope the Wraith car arrived satisfactor- It was suffering from a leak at the rear main bearing which was not in evidence on the Test Bed, nor when running the engine with the car stationary in the Garage. It is, therefore, evidently an effect produced by the motion of the car through the air. Similar leaks have always been cured by ventilation of the clutch plate, and we suggest that you try a large diameter pipe run from the clutch inspection plate to the rim of the flywheel, and elsewhere, to see if you can get rid of the trouble. The only difference between Wraith and the 25/30, where this trouble was cured by a hole in the clutch inspection plate, is that now there is a greater distance between this plate and the flywheel than on the 25/30.
